 ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Cultural Awareness is the foundation of Effective Global Interactions

Several studies have indicated that a lack of cross-cultural understanding can impact productivity in the workplace. In today’s global workforce, communication skills are critical to maintaining good working relationships. As English is the language of international business, for bilingual professionals who speak English as a second language, the ability to communicate with clarity is, therefore, a priority.

This short e-course is tailor-made for Japanese executive support professionals who must utilise their bilingual English skills to communicate effectively in multinational settings. Through a series of online lectures, tutorials and an end-of-course coaching session, the Global Communication Skills for English-Japanese Bilingual Assistants will deliver an understanding of the native English-speaker communication style.

You will explore perceived and intended messages based on the Japanese-speaker communication style and context. You will learn effective English language communication strategies to avoid misunderstandings and work collaboratively in global business settings.
