About Trish Butera

Founder The Global Assistant Online

Years ago, Trish’s sister shared a quote that would quietly shape the course of her life and work:

“Whatever you're thinking, think bigger.”

It struck a chord—not just as an idea, but as a way of being. For Trish, thinking bigger has always meant looking beyond limits, asking better questions, and expanding what’s possible—with vision, with heart, and with the courage to lead differently.

That belief is what led her to found The Global Assistant Online.

Trish Butera is an intercultural business advisor and executive coach to senior leaders in global business. As Director of 60ZONE Pty Ltd, she has worked since 2014 with C-suite professionals across multiple industries to strengthen global leadership capability, cross-cultural fluency, and international business protocol.

While advising global leaders, she saw the untapped potential of their executive support teams—professionals who work at the center of power, but are rarely given the training to match. With firsthand experience as an international executive assistant to a global CEO, Trish understood the demands of the role—and the opportunity to elevate it.

In 2020, she launched The Global Assistant Online as a learning and development platform exclusively for executive support professionals. Today, it is an internationally recognised education brand, with students in over 35 countries and a growing suite of programs designed to help assistants lead, grow, and thrive in an increasingly global workplace.

Known for her strategic clarity, warm guidance, and global perspective, Trish has empowered professionals to step into their influence, grow their careers, and expand their sense of what’s possible.

Her work has been recognised by the Export Council of Australia, with consecutive nominations as a Finalist in the Premier’s NSW Export Awards (2022 and 2023) in the Women in International Business category.

At the heart of everything Trish does is a simple idea:

Whatever you're thinking, think bigger.
